Rastaman Chant
After fifteen years of Rasta drumming and chanting at the Bob Marley Foundation, 9 mile, Jamaica, www.bobmarleymovement.com backed by the spiritual cultural inspiration of Rastafari,
the African Jamaican Culture was born. Their music stands out because of the predominant use of traditional African instrument Root Reggae and Psalms.
The African Jamaican Culture chants, like that of the Nyabingi, seems church-like in spirit ,flavour and atmosphere which are the original roots of RASTA MUSIC.They quote from the Bible quite naturally and adapt Christian hymns to Rastafari lyrics. However, known as a non violent and non political group, their chant provides the listener with the rare opportunity to appreciate at cultural level the traditional instrument of Africa, dread indignation, Rastaman tradition and devotion to Jah.
"Straight is the road that leads to destruction, the road to righteousness is narrow."
As Bob Marley say," let´s get together and feel alright."

About Us:-
The African Jamaican Culture >Reggae Band>can be founded in the region of Neckar-Odenwald-Kreis Mosbach Germany.
It was started by John and Joseph in the year 1998.
Joseph coming from Jamaica and John coming from Africa.
John and Joseph met here in Germany.
We started to play Music together with traditional African Percussion instrument. And we called our Music "Spiritual Traditional Root Music"
Four people joined us and we played Percussion for two years.
The change to Root Reggae Music took place when a friend who attended our concert suggested to us to support the Percussion instrument with the electric instrument to meet the demand of modern day Root Reggae Music.
We re-arranged the band changing attitude and ways of administration thus:-
John, Singin
Joseph, Chantin
In the year 2000 we recorded our first Demo songs titled "Selassie I Judge I" and "Rastafari I pray fi I" on the four track recorder to produce CDs and Tapes for promotion use only.
